Working with an interior designer can seem daunting or out of reach. But that is not always the case. Farber Home Design offers a range of interior design services to fit your budget and expectations.

Discovery Call

Every project starts with a discovery call. This is a free 15-minute phone call to learn more about your project and for you to learn more about me and my processes. If we both decide we are a good fit, we decide which service will best fit your needs.

Consultation

The consultation is the next step in the design process. This is an hour-long meeting, either in person or online, for e-design. I get to see the space we are working on and make suggestions about style, colors, layout, and more. We talk about your budget, timeline, and expectations. You share inspiration photos. If we are both ready to move forward, I draw up a scope of work and contract. When these are approved and signed with a retainer paid, we move on to the next phase.

Design Phase

The first part of the design phase is the mood board. Mood boards have inspiration photos, some colors, and some products. We then meet to make sure the design is heading in the right direction. Next is the design development. All colors and products are chosen. Floor plans are drawn up. All necessary tradespeople are contacted for availability and estimates. When everything is ready, we meet again to go over the full design proposal. Once the design is approved, we move on to the next phase.

Production Phase

I start ordering all items needed for the design. Construction and renovation begin with tradespeople starting their jobs. Paint, flooring, and cabinetry are installed. Then furniture and accessories are styled. Finally, you get to see and enjoy your new space.

Other Interior Design Services

E-Design

All meetings take place virtually, and only the design phase is included. You are responsible for ordering products and implementing the design.

Designer For A Day

This is a three-hour session at your home. Ask all your design questions about color, style, layouts, and product recommendations. We can style spaces with items you already own.

Staging Consultation

This service is for clients getting ready to sell their home. I take a tour of the house and make a list of suggestions, including easy fixes, cleaning, and decor choices. This is especially helpful for families who will be living in the home through the selling process.
